Things to do this weekend in Paris, September 18–20 2026
European Heritage Days open monuments across the city while ticket desks and September guides fill the rest of the weekend.

The big story this weekend is France's European Heritage Days on September 18–20 2026, with most free openings concentrated on Saturday and Sunday. Pair that with the live calendars from Sortir à Paris (Maps), Paris je t’aime, and Come to Paris so you can lock times before you leave home.

**Friday** Ease in with the citywide September shortlist from the Paris Tourist Office (Maps) and the rolling Paris Events & Festival Calendar 2026. For paid shows the same night, scan Ticketmaster Paris, Live Nation France, the Accor Arena calendar (Maps), and the Palais des Congrès official box office (evening listings often land around 20:00). Stadium-scale dates sit on the official Stade de France ticket office. If you want smaller, weirder sets, the Agenda Improvisation / Expérimentation Paris board is listing 19:00 start times—check the day-of grid before you ride over.
Before a Right Bank curtain, eat at Eskal near Madeleine, 47 Rue des Mathurins, 75008 (Maps, Instagram, site); dinner service runs 19:00–21:30 Tuesday–Saturday, so book the early seating if you have a hard door time. Closer to the river and the first Heritage queues, Mégie at 2 ter Quai de la Mégisserie, 75001 keeps café hours Wednesday–Sunday 10:00–18:00 with lunch 12:00–14:00 (Maps, site).

**Saturday** This is the core Heritage Days day. Use the practical round-up on Paris Discovery Guide’s September page (Maps) for which monuments, ministries and courtyards open, then cross-check live slots on Sortir à Paris for September 18–20 and the exhibitions-and-festivals brief from Paris je t’aime. Arrive at opening when a site posts a timed entry; many programmes are free but cap capacity. Between visits, keep Ticketmaster and Live Nation open on your phone in case a evening concert still has seats.
For a pre-show plate after a Batignolles or north-west wander, Retrouvailles at 132 Rue Cardinet, 75017 runs lunch and dinner Monday–Saturday, evenings from 19:00 (Maps, Instagram, site). Le Petit Brochant a few streets over at 21 Rue Brochant stays open daily 12:00–00:00 if you need a later table (Maps, Instagram, site).
**Sunday** Heritage Days continue—again, most openings skew to September 19–20—so repeat the same three planners: Paris Discovery Guide, Sortir à Paris, and Come to Paris’s September guide. Build a short loop of two or three sites rather than crossing the whole city; Métro beats taxis when queues spill onto the street. If you still want a matinee or night ticket after the free visits, jump back to Accor Arena, Palais des Congrès, Stade de France, or Ticketmaster.
Note that Rock en Seine (Maps) is not this weekend—it runs 26–30 August 2026—so skip the Domaine national de Saint-Cloud unless you are planning ahead. For a final coffee or early supper near the first arrondissement sights, Mégie is the easy on-foot stop; for something dressier before a west-side evening, Rosie Jolie at 38 Avenue Raymond Poincaré, 75116 serves through 22:00 on Sunday (Maps, Instagram, site).
