Two new cafés, and the rest of Bangkok’s 2026 coffee map

Localtime added thirty-four Bangkok cafés and restaurants this week. Only two actually opened in August; the rest had already been pouring for months.

Think of this as an editorial catch-up, not an opening week. Bangkok’s 2026 café map had been taking shape in Time Out and Go Café long before our team caught up with it. Thirty-four addresses entered the magazine this week. Only two are genuinely new.

EICH soft-launched on 24 August in a two-storey corner house at 73 Ekkamai Soi 10. It is the kind of place that works for a croissant at eight and coffee at four, with a twenty-one-year-old pastry chef trained at Le Cordon Bleu and working from her mother’s recipes rather than a consultant’s binder. Earth-toned walls, a high ceiling, seating on both floors, everything in the pastry case baked on site. Soft-launch hours are daily 08:00–20:00; call 096-463-9991. Three days earlier, on 21 August, Blue Bottle Central Park opened more than 130 square metres on the ground floor of Dusit Central Park on Rama IV — the Oakland brand’s first café in Thailand, NOLA in the glass, a sixth-floor park looking toward Lumphini, pets welcome, 10:30–19:00. Three days later, EmQuartier on Sukhumvit opened as the craft flagship; Rama IV is the everyday stop. Onibus Coffee Central Park and Ksana Central Park were already in the same complex. They arrive on Localtime alongside it.

The rest is a haul, better read by neighbourhood than as a list of thirty-two “openings” that were not openings at all. Ekkamai also brings Pinki’s Deli, SALAA and Somsak. Silom and Lumphini take TFD Coffee, Rocket Coffeebar Lumphini, Fillets, KAO SOY PRIN. Charoenkrung and Yaowarat take Liana, Sydny Bagels Charoenkrung, Roast8ry BKK, Khao San Sek. Langsuan has I-Sang and Lawoi. Samyan has Findfoundfounded; Hua Lamphong, Slow Butter. Pathum Wan holds Conte De Tulear and Bánh Mimi. Sathon has Table 1749 and Bo.bkk. Suan Luang has Unhour and Back of House Pattanakan. Phra Khanong has Namsu and Batchworks Collective. Dusit has Brown Matcha House; Phrom Phong, Jae Bank; Khlong Toei, Smør Bangkok, City Cup and Fimue Groove Station. Bang Kapi’s pair is Bones Cafe and ORA Wellness Bar.

Do not try to walk all of it in a week. The list below is the index. EICH and Blue Bottle Central Park are the actual news: a family-rooted bakery in a soi house, and Oakland’s first pour in Thailand with a park above it. The others are Bangkok bringing the magazine up to date. Localtime is not pretending to have discovered thirty-four new kitchens. We finally drew the map we should have had in spring, and dated it honestly.

If you only go twice, start on Soi 10 for pastry in a house, then head to Rama IV for a NOLA with Lumphini nearby. The rest can wait until you are already in the neighbourhood. Rama IV also puts you close to this weekend’s programme: NIPPON HAKU fills QSNCC through Sunday, a short walk from Blue Bottle Central Park. On Friday and Saturday, Kodaline play their farewell at UOB LIVE on the Ekkamai side of town — EICH first if you want pastry before a final concert. Times are in this weekend’s guide.
