BMK’s Afro canteen on Rue de la Roquette: grilled chicken, yassa, mafé, plantain — sit-down more than grab-and-go.

DKR opened at 19 Rue de la Roquette in the 11th at the turn of May 2026, an Afro street-food canteen from chef Diadié Diombana with Fousseyni and Abdoulaye Djikine of BMK Paris-Bamako, built around chicken rather than a long mixed grill.
The little-known fact is the letters: DKR is Dakar’s airport code, and the room wears corrugated metal, African market posters and a Maggi-bottle homage instead of a white tablecloth. Kéléwélé plantain, fried wings, yassa, widjila, mafé around twelve euros, ngalakh for dessert. Sortir still listed it as a new May must-try. @dkr_paris is the live camera.
The yassa is why you go; Roquette is why it feels like Paris.
