Bolo

Legendary chef Gennaro Contaldo returns to the London restaurant scene at Bolo, his first solo project in nearly two decades. The heart of the menu is Bolognese, showcased in Contaldo's pork and beef tagliatelle and a few creative variations. With just six pasta dishes—such as orecchiette with octopus and 'nduja Bolo, and tagliorini with Amalfi lemon butter—the focus remains on simplicity and tradition.

The space itself is a compact trattoria with room for only 32 diners, offering a pared-back selection of antipasti like bruschetta and bolo arancini, and a succinct dessert pairing of ricotta doughnuts and gelato or sorbet. Opened in September 2026 on Air Street, the restaurant inhabits a former Soho Italian spot, bringing a sharply edited taste of classic and contemporary Italian cooking to one of the city’s busiest neighbourhoods.
