Banquet 88 is the latest project from the team behind Tao Tao Ju in Chinatown and two Wimbledon and Ealing dim sum specialists. This riverside restaurant pairs large, sociable tables with an extensive Cantonese menu. Dim sum dominates the selection, but the kitchen also prepares whole Peking duck, roast suckling pig and a range of seafood-focused dishes.

Set beside the water at Commodity Quay, Banquet 88 has space for 140 guests indoors and offers a private dining area. Plans suggest outdoor seating overlooking the dock’s yachts, but confirmation is pending. The setting draws on traditional Cantonese dining, focusing on authentic preparations and quality ingredients drawn from seasonal produce. The location at St Katharine Docks lends the restaurant not just appealing views but also auspicious feng shui, as highlighted by the team.
