White Rabbit Projects, the group behind Lina Stores and Kricket, launches Alto 19 atop the Locke hotel in Canary Wharf. The restaurant showcases broad skyline views, including the O2, from its setting on the 19th floor, and features a striking private dining room for groups.

Executive Chef Chris Dargavel brings a background honed at Daphne’s and J Sheekey, centering the menu on Mediterranean flavors with an unfussy approach. Highlights include snacks like cacio e pepe gnocco fritto and crab fritti with aioli, alongside vongole vermentino bruschetta and Amalfi lemon. Hand-rolled pasta plays a central role, such as porcini agnolotti with parmesan fonduta and black truffle, and braised beef shin and Barolo ragu. Large plates cover salt-baked branzino, dry-aged ribeye cotoletta, and Sicilian red prawn rice with cured lardo. Seasonal cocktails and a wine list spotlighting artisanal producers round out the bar, which stays open late for DJ sets and drinks overlooking the city.
