The Sea, The Sea opened its new Pavilion Road home in June 2026 at 243 Pavilion Road, SW1, moving the Chelsea fish shop and bistro to a 40-cover dining room with a 28-seat terrace. Condé Nast Traveller filed the June room and the lesser-known fish — Isle of Skye scallops, cuttlefish ragù, John Dory, potato ice cream with smoked eel. Wallpaper* walked the industrial shop downstairs and the skylit room above in May.
The little-known fact is the street: Pavilion Road is traffic-free, so the terrace is not a pavement against buses. The original shop had been at 162; this is the same kitchen, a bigger door. @theseathesea_ is the live camera; theseathesea.net holds the book.
The counter is why you go; Pavilion Road is why it feels like London.
