Temaki

Temaki took 11 Maddox Street, W1S 2QF, in February 2026, A.M. Dupee moving the Brixton Market handroll bar that opened in 2021 into a two-floor Mayfair room. Wallpaper* filed the relocation among the London restaurants everyone would be booking this summer: a sixteen-seat counter upstairs looking onto the cooks, twenty-eight seats downstairs written like a Japanese listening bar, handrolls, crispy rice, A4 wagyu sliders. The house Instagram still pins the numbered street.

The little-known fact is the move, not the format. Temaki was already London’s original handroll bar in a market stall; Maddox Street is the same brief with a postcode the booking apps understand. @temakihandrollbar is the live camera. The roll is why you go; Maddox Street is why it feels like London.
