Teal opened on 26 March 2026 at 52 Wilton Way, E8, Sally Abé’s first own door after The Harwood Arms and The Pem — a little British bistro in the site that was Pidgin, then Sesta. She took the keys in February without investors. Condé Nast Traveller put it in the April file. Hot Dinners had it Hot Right Now in August. The Observer sat the bistro in May and said fine dining felt less precious.

The little-known fact is the bird: teal is a duck, not a colour, and the room is small on purpose so the cook could open without a backer. Ornella opened at 51 Wilton Way six weeks later. The house closed 17–27 August for a summer holiday and reopened on the 27th.
