Tavern opened on 28 April 2026 at 374–378 Old Street, EC1, Johnnie Crowe, Brendan Appleby and head chef Kirsty Easterbrook rewriting Nest as a British bistro — smoked cod’s roe with pig skin, black koji custard tart, chops. Condé Nast Traveller put it in the May file. Hot Dinners had it Hot Right Now in August. The Observer sat it in June and told you to go if you want to feel fantastic.
The little-known fact is the restart: same Victorian shell, new name, tasting-menu Nest retired for snacks and small plates at £8–15 and mains at £24–34. Tuesday to Saturday, lunch and dinner.
