Oudh 1722 opened on 1 May 2026 at 66 Union Street, SE1, two-Michelin-star Birmingham cook Aktar Islam’s London debut in a restored Victorian townhouse. The name is a year — 1722, Awadh’s court kitchens — not a street number. Hot Dinners had the 1 May date in April. Wallpaper* walked the Polina Sychova joinery in May. Condé Nast Traveller filed it the same month. Grace Dent called it one of 2026’s openings in June.
The little-known fact is the perfume: oudh is the scent, and the dum work — smoked lamb shoulder, whole turbot, a soft egg yolk with spiced venison — is cooked under a seal, not under a grill. Tuesday 17:30–21:30; Wednesday to Saturday lunch and dinner; Sunday 12:00–17:00. SevenRooms holds the book. No phone on the door.
@oudh1722 is the live camera. The dum is why you go; Union Street is why it feels like London.
