Hon’s BBQ took the first floor of Unit 7, The White Building, Queen’s Yard, in July 2026, after two years of residencies. Pitmaster Man Hon Luk learned Texas smoke with John Bates in Austin and writes it with Sichuan peppercorn and smoked tea eggs overlooking the Hackney Wick canal.
The little-known fact is the room: it sits on the zero-waste Silo footprint, with furniture by Mo Tong and a sound system by Noise Control Audio, so the pit is also a music venue. Condé Nast Traveller put it in the August 2026 new-London file. Hot Dinners had it Hot Right Now the same month. Wallpaper* walked the red room in July.
Wednesday and Thursday 18:00–23:00, Friday and Saturday lunch and dinner, Sunday 12:00–18:00; kitchen closes an hour before the door. No walk-ins for now — SevenRooms holds the book. @honsbbq is the live camera. The pit is why you go; Queen’s Yard is why it feels like London.
