Sazzou

Sazzou is a jazz bar and cocktail room inside the Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus in Harbiye, entered from Cumhuriyet Caddesi at number 50 rather than from a basement stair on a side alley.

The concrete detail is architectural: the project borrowed a hotel ballroom, so the stage and tables sit in a high-ceilinged formal volume instead of the low, brick-lined cellars that usually host live jazz in this city, and the Bosphorus hotel envelope keeps the night tied to Şişli’s ceremonial avenue.

Istanbul Muse filed the opening, and sazzouistanbul is the live camera for hours. The room is why you go, and the street is why it feels like Istanbul.
