ATAV — said A-tau — opened at Carrer de Mallorca 211 in L’Antiga Esquerra de l’Eixample as a day-to-night resto-bar: specialty coffee in the morning, a kitchen that does not close between services, and natural wine once the light drops. The house Instagram, @atavbarcelona, posted the brief two days after the door: coffee, plates and wine, no reservation. Walk in.

The clock is the design. Weekdays the room runs from about 08:30 into the late evening; Friday and Saturday stretch toward 01:00. Saturday brunch holds 09:00 to 15:00. Batch brew and mushroom or avocado toast take the morning; after dark the same pass sends corn ribs, scallops and a beef sandwich toward orange wine and whatever bottle the owner is pouring. Corner called it the rare Eixample address that works equally for a coffee date, a long brunch and a small dinner on the terrace.

Mallorca 211 is a numbered door on the Cerdà grid between Passeig de Gràcia and the quieter inner blocks, not a hidden courtyard. That matters in a district that usually splits café and wine bar into two bookings. L’Antiga Esquerra still eats on numbered streets more than on destination courtyards, and this is that kind of door: a few blocks west of the boulevard, residential enough that a walk-in coffee-and-wine room actually gets used twice in a day. The kitchen keeps posting that it is open all day, the drinks cold, the coffee poured correctly. The house does not take reservations.

Google currently sits ATAV at 4.9 from the first months of reviews, a rush rather than a long reputation. @atavbarcelona is the live camera for hours and the week’s plates. Confirm the Saturday brunch window before you walk; the late service still moves on Instagram.
