A slim wood bar on Sukhumvit 49 — coffee from B65, 07:00–17:00, the kind of counter you duck into before Fuji Super.

Butchery Coffee opened in 2026 at 39, unit CN03, Sukhumvit 49, Khlong Tan Nuea, Watthana — a slim, warm wood-toned bar on the soi you walk for Fuji Super and Samitivej. Time Out’s Khun Wa filed it on the 2026 new-café map in February and again in March: tiny, friendly, doing the simple things well. Coffee starts at B65, which on this stretch of Thonglor still reads as a decision; Time Out called that almost subversive. The design is minimal without going cold; grab-and-go and a stool on the soi are both the point. Hours run about 07:00–17:00 on weekdays, a little later at the weekend depending on the week; Corner had 06:30 as of July. OpenRice has Monday to Friday 07:00–17:00, Saturday and Sunday 08:00–17:30. 093-132-5222 takes the phone. The house Instagram, @butchery_coffee, still posts matcha next to the espresso and a running joke that every kilometre you run knocks a baht off the drink.

The little-known fact is the restraint. The name sounds like a butcher’s; the room is a coffee bar that does not try to be a brunch house, a roastery showroom or a concept. Time Out called that the reason it stands out on a soi that already has too many of those. Google currently sits Butchery Coffee Sukhumvit 49 at 4.8 from 46 reviews — the first months, not a long reputation.

Sukhumvit 49 is a numbered soi between Thonglor and the hospital, not a destination courtyard. That is why a slim bar actually gets used twice in a morning. Confirm hours before you walk; the weekend clock still moves on Instagram.
