A new kafeneio on Damareos in Pangrati: wood, open fire and a dining room that still reads like an urban café.

Flaros opened at Damareos 25 in Pangrati at the end of January 2026, a kafeneio named for the ceramic chimney pot, with Stratos Vlassopoulos on a kitchen of open fire and wood stove.
The little-known fact is the object: a flaros is the handmade chimney cap on old Athenian roofs, and the room borrows that word instead of calling itself a taverna. Monday and Sunday are dark, so the fire is a weekday ritual rather than a weekend destination. Hours run Tuesday–Friday 18:00–01:00 and Saturday 15:30–00:00. Athinorama filed the Damareos pin in the 2026 roundup.
