Zappa

Zappa opened on 18 December 2025 inside Aigli Zappeiou, the historic pavilion in the Zappeion gardens, as chef Chrysanthos Karamolegos’s return to Athens after fifteen years — the same cook behind Anama in Gialova, now signing an all-day room with Middle Eastern and Asian notes and a Greek spine.

The little-known fact is the name: the restaurant takes Zappa from the gardens, not from a chef biography, and the cocktail bar sits with Thodoris Pyrillos. Athinorama put it in the early-2026 new-tables file even though the doors opened in December. Hours are all-day; the kitchen posts summer breaks on Instagram.
