Thirio

Thirio opened at 2 Navarchou Nikodimou on 29 December 2025, a side street that hits Syntagma before it hits the Plaka tourist slope, with chef patron Thomas Matsas and Christos Nydriotis on the pass.

The little-known fact is the seating: two long dining bars face the open kitchen so the chef plates in front of you, a Japanese counter idea rewritten for Greek cooking. Matsas already signed Alemagou in Mykonos and Striggla in the northern suburbs; this is the personal Syntagma project, with rooster pastitsada as a cinnamon roll and blue-crab macaroni on the early carte.
